Still working on fixes...

I am still working on fixes to the software. I just fixed a bug that affected programs with an ampersand (&) in their name. I also fixed a bug in ECW so that should be working too.

Next problem I have is broken thumbnails. Since I don't host the thumbnails I am not entirely sure the best way to fix that. I'd rather not have to download each thumbnail individually to make sure they are correct. Might have to though.

I did however add a bunch of new shows. Superboy, Adventures of Superman, Brisco County Jr, etc.

CMV TV V.3

Ok, because I am a glutton for punishment I redid the entire TV site. It now uses a slicker player courtesy of AOL for the Hulu videos. It also integrates all of Comcast's fancast videos as well.

My current plans are to also integrate Nickelodeon and Disney's videos as well, though I don't believe I can embed those... yet... :) I think I have all the major networks covered now including: ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CWTV. I am sure I will add more and more stuff to it eventually.

Update...

I did an update that switched from using Hulu's embedded player to AOL's embeddable hulu player. It seems a cleaner interface and I don't have to do any javascript tricks to offer full screen. :) So far it looks good.

I also updated the site to not display any hulu movies that aren't embeddable. Most of them are, but some of their licensing won't let them.

Quick update

I changed the main page a little to better show the new movies, popular clips and the newest episodes.

It is now showing the new episodes as opposed to the newly added episodes.

cinema-magic.com minor update

I started the process of adding a footer linking all FSS's sites together. I want Mark to look it over and see if he can make it slicker. I think I am also going to make it a simple javascript include. That will work with my perl and my php programs as well as allowing me to change it on all the pages at once. :) (Just thought of that while I was typing this, so I am all proud and stuff)

I also added a link to "All TV" on the tv part of the site. Beneath the hood on that I added ratings. Before it was ignoring the ratings, but this will allow me a simple method for use on 2hc. My current goal with 2hc is to provide a "safe" search engine. Doesn't really filter, just uses ratings and such to filter out porn and hate sites. I am going to eliminate anything rated R or above from 2hc's version of the TV site.

My sites and this blog

Everyone has a blog, so I guess I should as well. I have been using the Internet daily since... well 15-20 years now?

Here are a list of my current sites:

Second Hand Christian - http://www.2hc.org/
This is a Christian search engine. I am currently redesigning it after the site was hit with a DDos attack making a large portion of it crash hard. It was due a redesign, it has been running on automatic for several years now.

Sci Fi Log - http://www.scifilog.com/
Everything Sci Fi! This site gathers together news from hundreds of different sources and categorizes everything by television show, or movie.

Cinema MAGIC Video - http://www.cinema-magic.com/
This is my video store's website and home of CMV-TV which gathers together tv shows and movies from all over the web and lets you watch them online. Forget cable, because this has it beat all over.

Five Star Comics - http://www.fivestarcomics.com/
This is not designed by me, though if there is programming that needs to be done I do that. This site is done by my brother Mark. I do have a section in the gallery under hardcopi, but I am strictly amateur.

Video Store Central - http://www.videostorecentral.com/
This website is a gathering place and forum for Video Stores across the country (and Canada).

Well those are the current sites, there have been more in the past and I am sure there will be more in the future. I work on these almost every day, so I am sure I will be posting updates periodically.
